Thank you for listening to me today. Thank you for being my confidant; for always being there for me in any and every situation. I will try to be a better person, just for you.

Thank you for teaching me the beauty in writing. I don’t think you know how much you have influenced or changed me. And as hard as I try to capture the lightness in your words that seem to just flow on paper, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to. But you’d just laugh at me anyways and tell me “that’s because you have your own style.”  

Thank you for always standing up for me. For helping me get back my violin after those mean kids hid it from me. I’ll never forget how happy I felt when you screamed “GIVE HIM BACK HIS FUCKING VIOLIN!” Friends for life.

Thank you for making me work harder than I ever thought I could. I have been able to excel in the things that I do because of your life motto: “There is nothing life you can’t achieve if you put your mind, time, and effort into it.” I strive for perfection just to please you.

Thank you for showing me how a respectable human being should NOT act. I will live to be the exact opposite of you. Sometimes I question if I actually like the things I like, or if I just like it to spite you.

Thank you for being an inconsiderate asshole. All you ever think about is yourself. I will work that much harder in order to show you that hard work, determination, and perseverance are enough to beat you.

Thank you for being the brother I never had. You do so much for me, and I’ve honestly lost count on how many times that I’ll have to pay you back during my lifetime. I only wish you the best. Thank you for dealing with me during my immature moments. I’m truly sorry about that.

Thank you for dealing with my shit. For keeping me company when I’m bored and for bringing me back down to earth when things seem to get too crazy.

Thank you for holding the door for me while I was carrying all of those grocery bags. You seriously saved me from the embarrassment of having everything drop to the floor as I try to reach into my pocket to get my ID.

Thank you for being my home away from home. You guys have made the long months feel short, and you really are apart of my family now.

There is an endless list of people that I feel like I have to thank, but I can’t possibly remember every single person, right? No hurt in trying though.

So honestly, thank you.
